LIVE STRONG!

Rambo and I went to went to the Yucatan in December 98.
After flying into Cancun, we rented a car and headed out to the Yucatan.
Our first stop was the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza.
We toured the large site, making things a bit more interesting as we went.

We wanted to pay our respects to Quetzalcoatl by doing some backflips on top of El Castillo pyramid.
Here is Rambo warming up in the grassy field that surrounds the pyramid.

Here I am being an idiot on top of the pyramid.

After the religious experience that is backflipping at altitude, we posed for some relaxing photos.

We spent a few days in Merida, the capital of the Yucatan and then headed off to some more ruins at Uxmal.
Here is the ROUGH look from atop one of the pyramids.

While you are up there, you might as well throw in a backflip.

Or stand on your hands near the edge.

Rambo does have better hops than a snail.

And the strength to press up anywhere.

This archway demanded some kind of action.
Especially when it was marked offlimits.

Next stop was the more out of the way ruins in Coba.
We ended up getting lost in the nearby jungle for a few hours.

The final ruins we visited where at Tulum on the Coast.

We climbed down the cliffs at Tulum and played in the surf,

We spent the next couple of days SCUBA diving off of Cozumel.

We ended off the trip by spending a couple of days in Cancun.
