Project Goals:

  1) Development of Helicopter with Sling Load Dynamic Model
  2) Oscillation Control of Sling Loads using Input Shaping
  3) Analysis of Effects of Input Shaping on Helicopter Handling Qualities
  4) Interdisciplinary Collaboration

The goal of this research is to add input shaping to helicopters' flight control systems to suppress the undesired oscillations of the sling load and improve the handling qualities of helicopters in slung load flight.
